I have just spent a fantastic week with some awesome delegates at the OPSA organised Advanced Certificate for the Executive Personal Assistant (ACEPA™) at the Southern Sun Montecasino.
Don’t miss the next ACEPA for South Africa being held in Johannesburg on 31st August – 4th September 2015. For full details please click on http://www.opsa.org.za/acepa/email.html
The event was spectacularly organised by OPSA and both OPSA and BMTG Ltd were delighted to host local delegates as well as delegates from Lesoto, Botswana and Uganda.
The Advanced Certificate for the Executive Personal Assistant (ACEPA™) is a unique and intensive 5 day training event specially designed, from a top down perspective, for Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants, Office Managers and all senior administrative roles. Unlike many of the training courses available ACEPA™ has been designed and is delivered from an Executive to Personal Assistant perspective and is internationally recognised.
The course has run a number of times in South Africa and Namibia and runs internationally across the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the USA.
Over the five days covered:
Aligning Missions and Visions to Strategy
Fundamentals of Modern Corporate Behaviour
Exploring Linkages Between Strategy, Projects and Operations
Fundamentals of Project Management
People Management & Leadership
Effective Communication & Conflict Management
Balanced Scorecards / Performance Management
Presentation & Report Writing Skills
Problem Solving & Multitasking
Business Etiquette, Protocol & Diplomacy
Using technology in the 21st century
Delegates also under took a Personality Profiling Test that will better enable them to understand themselves, identify their own strengths and weaknesses and be able to use this knowledge to communicate with and influence others.
Read some of the comments about the course and trainer:
“I enjoyed the training as it was relevant to all the tasks that I am responsible for as an Executive PA. I will definitely use most of the knowledge from this course and apply it when performing my daily duties. I will perform better in all areas of my work.” Hilda Kotoloa, Seda
“Richard is a world-class trainer. He used techniques that were personal and interactive and he was very effective and sincere.” Eela Jivan, Coca-Cola SA
“Thank you for a wonderful learning experience. I feel motivated to do my job in new ways.” Karin Engelbrecht, Airbus Optronics (Pty) Ltd
“Attending this course was very beneficial to me and I would highly recommend it to others.” Maria De Fatima Belo, National Film and Video Foundation
Delegates loved the training environs provided by Montecasino and especially the presence of the New Zealand Crusaders Rugby Team who offered a pleasant distraction each day as they walked past the classroom window.
The next ACEPA™ course is scheduled to run in South Africa on 31st August 2015 and bookings will open next week.
